1. What is fibercement?
Autoclaved silicate based smooth or wooden textured fibercement sheet is a building material used to cladd exterior and interior walls of a building. It is produced from a mixture of natural cellulose fiber, cement and grained silica.

2. Where can it be used?
Fibercement sheets can be used in both commercial and domestic applications on exterior and interior facades of buildings. Sheets can be used as a whole part or can be cut into pieces of the given dimensions. Sheets can also be groved of various dimensions depending on the demand. Most common application areas of fibercement can be listed as:

  • Interior and exteiror facade application in all type of buildings,
  • Partition wall in form of sandwich panel,
  • All interior and exterior decorative application as grooved sheets,
  • Suspended ceiling (6 mm),
  • Curtain wall underlayer,
  • In multiple-storey precast buildings as story floor material (16 mm),
  • Backer board under the roof (instead of OSB),
  • Backer board under the ceramic in wet areas,
  • Backer board under the flooring on foundation beton (no need for alum),
  • Decorative wooden textured interior cladding (panelling, etc.),
  • Application material under the eave and on the front side of the buildings,
  • Mould material,
  • Ground material for billboards,
  • Partition wall in wet areas (as PP foil laminated sheets),
  • Window and door frame,
  • Corner trim in the fibercement siding applications,
  • Composite panel element used with several cladding materials,
  • Sandwich panel used with insulation materials,
  • Decorative garden wall applications.

    3. Why should I prefer fibercement?  top
  • Contains no material harmful to health, odorless, produces no gas harmful to human health.
  • Safely used in humid climates, very low reaction against water, resistant against sea water moisture so it can be used as external walls of seaside buildings.
  • Excellent heat insulation with proper construction materials.
  • With wooden and smooth textures it is adaptable to all architectural designs.
  • Can be painted to desired colours, unlimited design alternatives.
  • Fire resistant, light, no additional risk during an earthquake.
  • Long life, easy maintenance, resistant against all atmospheric conditions, resistant against UVs.
  • Applicable to both new and old buildings.
  • Composition of completely natural materials, environment, nature and human friendly, no asbest.

    4. What are superior properties of the fibercement technology?  top
Cephelerde kullandığımız fibercemet ürün, otoklavda sertleştirilmiş düz veya ahşap desenli görünüme sahip doğal lifli çimento esaslı levhalardır.

    Advantageous:
  • Can be painted with acrylic exterior paint due to cement and silicate in its mixture.
  • Warm and comfortable appearence because of the wooden effect, but physically more advantageous than wood.
  • Economical because does not need plaster.
  • Very good heat and sound insulation, allows the building to breath properly.
  • Can be used much more safely in any application, where similar covering materials used.

    Resistant:
  • Fire resistant (A1 class fire resistant building material according to EN 13501-1), does not melt, helps fire to stop.
  • Very low reaction ratio against water (max. 0,5 mm/m when restored in water for 24 hours).
  • Safely used in humid climates.
  • Resistant against sea water moisture, so it can be used safely as external walls of seaside buildings.
  • Resistant against ultraviolet rays.
  • Imperishable, if taken the proper care, it has theoretically everlasting lifetime.
  • Long life, easy maintenance.
  • Not affected by insects harmful to woods, not inhabitable for insects.
  • Durable against strokes and beats.
  • Resistant against atmospheric conditions due to the raw materials in its mixture and the autoclaving process.
  • Frost resistant.

No harm to human and environment health:
  • Composition of completely natural materials; environment, nature and human friendly.
  • Does not contain asbest or any other harmful maerial to human health.
  • Produces no harmful gas during possible fire.
  • Odorless.

    5. How is it produced?  top
In special dills quartz is grinded and mixed with cement, water and cellulose. Sheets are produced in Hatscheck machine from this mixture. Finally formed sheets are autoclaved under high pressure and heat. In this way the sheets become resistant against different atmospheric conditions. After a period time in storage they are ready to be transferred.
